- Supply limited – misuse accelerate development of antimicrobial resistance, makes them less effective over the time
- Indispensable for treating complex infections – Eg: Multidrug – resistant pathogens
- Overuse of drugs causes threat to health, increased morbidity, mortality …etc
- 3rd gen cephalosporin – Indian dairy sector (Eg: cefriaxone)
- Aminoglycosides – India poultry sector (Eg: amikacin) – prevent, control or treat diseases
