  • About 95% of the population follows Christianity.
  • Speaks Konyak language belonging to the Sino-Tibetan group.
  • Festivals – Aolingmonyu, Aonyimo, and Laoun-ongmo.
  • Economy –
    • Skilled in making firearms.
    • Proficient in handicrafts like basket making, cane and bamboo works, and brass works.
  • Society – Patriarchal society.
    • Eldest son inherits paternal property
