Kattunayakkars:
- Also known as – Jenu Kuruba Community
- Habitat – Original inhabitants of the Western Ghats
- Relocated around Nagarhole and Bandipur forests around 1970s to enable tiger conservation project.
- Occupation – Mostly food gathering in the forests and collection of minor forest produce including honey.
- Practice agriculture as a subsidiary occupation.
- Hadi – Small settlements inhabited by the tribe called Hadi
- Bidru Kotta – A bamboo percussive instrument played by the tribe.
- Status – Jenu Kurubas in Krantaka are classified as Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG)

- Scheme – Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan
- Objective – To address socio-economic challenges faced by PVTGs in India.
- Ministries Involved – 9 Ministries, including the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
- Focus Areas – 11 critical interventions, encompassing various sectors such as housing, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and connectivity.
- Target Duration – Operate over the next 3 years.
- Beneficiaries – 75 PVTG communities in 18 states and the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
