- Leaders as Agents of Change – Leadership in education involves social influence to achieve common goals.
- Emphasis that education leaders should balance learning outcomes with equity, quality, and inclusivity.
- Lack of Funding – 40% of countries spend less than 4% of GDP on education.
- Out-of-School Children – 251 million children and youth are out of school globally, with only a 1% reduction since 2015.
- Access to Education – Central and Southern Asia have made significant progress, but Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan have the largest out-of-school populations.
- Key Recommendations –
- Empower leadership skills to manage schools effectively.
- Enhance the capacity of education officials to act as system leaders.
- Integrate climate change education into earlier grades and across more subjects beyond science.
