Norovirus:

- The disease is self-limiting and usually lasts 2 or 3 days.
- Sufficient rest and hydration are crucial.
- Vulnerability – Affects people across all age groups.
- Serious symptoms are more common in children, the elderly, and people with comorbidities.
- Resistance – Resistant to many disinfectants and can withstand heat up to 60°C.
- Steaming food or chlorinating water does not necessarily kill the virus.
- Seasonal outbreaks usually occur in colder months
