Lake-effect snow warnings remain in effect across the Great Lakes (in the US and Canada).
- A phenomenon common in late fall and winter
- Occurs when cold air from Canada moves over the warmer, unfrozen Great Lakes.
- As the cold air passes over the unfrozen and relatively warm waters of the Great Lakes, warmth and moisture are transferred into the lowest portion of the atmosphere.
- The air rises, clouds form and grow into narrow band of snow

House Price Index
