Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve:
- 4th tiger reserve in Rajasthan state
- 52nd tiger reserve in the country
- Location – Rajasthan, in the buffer area of Ranthambore tiger reserve and Mukundara Hills tiger reserve.
- Represents both Vindhyan and Aaravalli elements.
- River – Mej, tributary of the Chambal River, passes through it.
- Major tree species – Dhok, Khair, Amaltas
- Major Animal species – Tigers, Panthers, Sloth Bears
Chambal River:
- Origin – Vindhya Range, Madhya Pradesh
- States – Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
- Mouth – Empty into Yamuna in Uttar Pradesh.
- Main tributaries –
- Left-hand tributaries- Banas and Mej
- Right hand tributaries – Parbati, Kali Sindh and Shipra
- Important dams – Gandhi Sagar dam, Rana Pratap Sagar dam and Jawahar Sagar Dam
- Protected Areas – National Chambal Sanctuary (Gharials), Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve
