- Har Ghar Jal – Ensure 55 litres of water per person per day to every rural household.
- Long-term Water Security – Assist States/UTs in planning participatory rural water supply strategies.

- Household Tap Connections – Aim to provide tap water to every rural household.
- Public Institutions – Ensure potable water in schools, Anganwadi centres, health centres, etc.

- Coverage – As of August 2024, over 78% of rural households have tap water connections
- First Achievers – Goa and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu were the first to achieve 100% tap-water access
