- Key stopover for migratory birds on the Central Asian Flyway
- Linked to Bay of Bengal via Uppukalli creek and Yedayanthittu Estuary.
Tawa Reservoir:
- Location – Madhya Pradesh, inside Satpura Tiger Reserve
- At the confluence of Tawa and Denwa rivers
- Tawa – Left bank tributary of Narmada River
