  • Location – Tamil Nadu.
  • Large shallow wetland.
  • Named after King Nanjarayan who restored and repaired it
  • Relies on heavy rainfall from Nallar drainage.
  • Location – Tamil Nadu.
  • Brackish shallow lake.
  • Key stopover for migratory birds on the Central Asian Flyway
  • Linked to Bay of Bengal via Uppukalli creek and Yedayanthittu Estuary.
  • Location – Madhya Pradesh, inside Satpura Tiger Reserve
  • At the confluence of Tawa and Denwa rivers
    • Tawa – Left bank tributary of Narmada River
