  • National Centre for Hydrogen Safety – Established in India to promote hydrogen safety.
  • Public-Private Energy Storage Task Force – Addresses policy frameworks, safety, manufacturing, and supply chains for energy storage.
  • Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Projects – Includes a technical feasibility study in Assam and pilot projects in Haryana.
  • Pumped Storage Recognition – Identified as a long-term energy storage option.
  • Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) Engagement – Supports training, supply chain capacity building, and fuel certification.
  • Smart Grid Developments under UI-ASSIST – Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and India’s Department of Science & Technology
    • Bridges the gap between smart grid, storage, and renewable energy research.
    • Part of the U.S.-India Partnership to Advance Clean Energy-Research (PACE-R).
  • Launched in – 2021
  • Objective – Enhance energy security, innovation, clean energy technologies, electrification, and decarbonization.
  • Under the framework of U.S.-India Climate and Clean Energy Agenda 2030 Partnership.
