India’s market for technical textiles is targeted to touch $40 billion by 2030 from the current $23 billion, said Rajeev Saxena, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles.

  • Manufactured using natural as well as man-made fibres
  • Some man-made fibres – Nomex, Kevlar, Spandex, Twaron
  • A sunrise sector
  • Technical textile accounts for approximately 13% of India’s total textile and apparel market and contributes to India’s GDP at 0.7%
