Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Delhi Excise policy-linked money laundering case.

  • Also known as – New liquor policy
  • Objective – To improve customer experience and stop black marketing.
  • Zone-by-Zone Bidding – City was divided into 32 zones and instead of individual licences, bidding was done zone-by-zone.
  • Age Restrictions – The policy proposed lowering the drinking age from 25 to 21.
  • Discount Offerings – For the first time, shops were allowed to offer discounts to retail customers
  • Dry Days – Reduced the number of dry days to 3 from 21.
  • Delivery of liquor – The policy also had a provision for home delivery of liquor and also suggested the opening of shops till 3 am.
