About PGI 2.0:
- PGI – State structure for 2021-22 has been revised and renamed as PGI 2.0.
- Objectives –
- To align with new initiatives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020
- To monitor indicators relating to Goal 4 of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- 1st PGI – released in 2017-18.
- Total weightage – 1000 points
- 73 indicators under 2 Categories – Outcome and Governance Management (GM).
- 6 domains –
- Learning Outcomes (LO)
- Access (A)
- Infrastructure& Facilities (IF)
- Equity (E)
- Governance Process (GP)
- Teachers Education and Training (TE&T)
- 10 Assessment Grades –Daksh(Highest) andAkanshi-3 (Lowest)
About Performance Grading Index for Districts (PGI-D):
- It assesses the performance of the school education system at the district level by creating an index for comprehensive analysis.
- Total weightage – 600 points
- 83 indicators under 6 categories – Outcomes, Effective Classroom Transaction, Infrastructure Facilities & Student’s Entitlements, School Safety & Child Protection, Digital Learning and Governance Process. (12 domains)
