Veer Narayan Singh
1857 Revolt leader Veer Narayan Singh was remembered on his death anniversary (February 25).
- Eminent freedom fighter from Chhattisgarh
- Leader of – Binjhwar tribe
- During the severe famine of 1856, he looted grains from the grain warehouse and distributed them among the poor
- Spearheaded the 1857 Revolt in Chhattisgarh and is considered as “1st Chhattisgarhi freedom fighter“.
