Exercise Ekuverin

13th edition of exercise ‘Ekuverin’ has commenced in Maldives.

National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences celebrated its 50th Institute Day.

Objective – Delivering unparalleled patient care, conducting pioneering research, and imparting cutting-edge training.
Status – Declared Deemed University (1994), conferred status of ‘Institute of National Importance’ (2012) through a separate act of Parliament.
Nodal centre for the Tele MANAS (Tele mental health Assistance and Nationally Actionable Plan through States) programme.

President inaugurated an international conference on Unani medicines on Unani Day (11th February).

A traditional healing system that originated in Greece and was popularised by Arab and Persian scholars.
Based on the concept of balance in the body’s 4 humors i.e., blood, phlegm (mucus), yellow bile, and black bile, that is central to diagnosing and treating illnesses.
Treatment under Unani aims to restore this balance through various methods.
One of the 6 components under AYUSH
- Others are Ayurveda, Yoga, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa, Homeopathy

Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying inaugurated the 14th Asian Fisheries and Aquaculture Forum (AFAF) at New Delhi.

A global fisheries and aquaculture conference held every 3 years by the Asian Fisheries Society (AFS).
