Union Environment Ministry’s Forest Advisory Committee approved the R&D proposal for Dibru Saikhowa National Park.
Dibru Saikhowa National Park:
- National Park as well as a Biosphere Reserve
- State – Assam
- Bounded by – Brahmaputra and Lohit Rivers in the north and Dibru River in the south.
- Vegetation – Mainly consists of moist mixed semi-evergreen forests and moist mixed deciduous forests.

- Largest salix swamp forest in north-eastern India

- Famous for Kekjori tree
- An identified Important Bird Area (IBA)
