2nd edition of the Indian Military Heritage Festival (IMHF) was inaugurated by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan

  • An initiative by the Department of Military Affairs and the USI (United Service Institution) of India.
  • Aim – To conserve and promote India’s military heritage through education and tourism.
  • Features – Focus on documenting India’s rich military history and promote educational and tourism programs to raise awareness among youth and the general public.

ISRO will launch European Space Agency’s (ESA) Proba-3 mission

  • Aim – To observe the Sun’s corona through an innovative satellite formation flight.
  • Corona – Outermost part of the Sun’s atmosphere.
  • Mission will deploy 2 satellites that will maintain an autonomous formation to allow uninterrupted observation.

Government invited comments on the draft Commercial Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2024.

  • Deals with commercial disputes arising out of ordinary transactions of merchants, bankers, export or import of merchandise or services, intellectual property rights etc.
  • Established under – Commercial Courts Act, 2015
  • Constituted by the State Government, after consultation with the concerned High Court.
  • Constitution of Commercial Division of High Courts is done by Chief Justice of High Court
