PM Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana

The Union Cabinet decided to merge all Central schemes in the agriculture sector into 2 new schemes, Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY) and Krishonnati Yojana (KY). 

These Schemes are implemented through the State Governments.

  • Objective – Promote sustainable agriculture.
  • Components – Includes 9 schemes such as Soil Health Management, Rainfed Area Development, and Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana.
  • States have flexibility to re-allocate funds among components based on specific needs.
  • Objective – Address food security and agricultural self-sufficiency in India.
  • Components – Includes 9 components like National Food Security & Nutrition Mission and Digital Agriculture Mission.
