SHe Box (Sexual Harassment electronic Box)
New portal launched for registering sexual harassment cases.
- An online complaint management system for registering complaints related to sexual harassment at the workplace.
- Launched by – Ministry of Women and Child Development in 2017.
- Aims – To ensure effective implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013
- Complaints are directly sent to the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of the concerned organization for inquiry.
- Both the complainant and the Ministry can monitor the progress of the inquiry.
Malaiyaha Tamil

- Also known as – Hill Country Tamils or Indian Tamils of Sri Lanka
- Migrated from southern India around 200 years ago to work in British-run plantations in Sri Lanka
- Primarily work in tea and rubber estates

Chandipura Virus
The WHO has warned that the current Chandipura virus infection in India is the largest in 20 years.
- A member of the Rhabdoviridae family, which includes rabies.
- Known to cause outbreaks of acute encephalitis syndrome (AES) in western, central and southern parts of India, especially during the monsoon season.
- Transmitted by vectors such as sandflies, mosquitoes and ticks.
- No antiretroviral treatment or vaccine accessible as of now for its treatment
- 1st identified in 1965 in Chandipura (Maharashtra).
Northern Bald Ibis
Once extinct from Europe, Northern Bald Ibis have now returned to the continent.
- Geographical range – European Alps, Northern Africa, and the Middle East.
- Habitat – Semi-arid desert, steppe regions.
- Monogamous birds that only have one mate during their lifetime.
- Find their mate by using their croop call.
- IUCN Conservation Status – Endangered.
